ADMIN – Account Types

Account Types #

Use the Account Types screen to add a new Account Type or to delete, edit or make inactive an existing Account Type. The Account Type will display in the Account Information field in the File Information section.

Field Descriptions #

Business Type filter – Drop-down menu to filter the Account Types based off the Business Type they are setup for

Show Inactive Records – A “switch” to display the inactivated Account Types

Account Type – Account Type Name

Due Date (mm/dd) – Due Date for the Account Type in (mm/dd) format if applicable. Displays in the Overview Section of a Client file. Normally used for the Due Date of a Tax Return

Extension (mm/dd) – Extension date for the Account Type in (mm-dd) format if applicable. Displays in the Overview Section of the Client File. Normally used for Business Type Tax Preparation – Tax Return Extension due date.

Inactive – If no longer using an Account Type, mark it as inactive instead of deleting the Account Type. This will prevent the inactive Account Type name from appearing in the drop-down menus throughout the software

Business Type – Assign a Business Type to allow the Account Type to appear in
